Approach

A penetration testing methodology you can hold us to.

Every practice follows the same five stages. Each one ends with something you can read, share, and check.

How an engagement works

The five stages

The same delivery rhythm runs across every practice, so you always know what is happening and what you will receive.

Select a stage to see what happens and what you receive.

01

Understand

We agree the systems, the rules of engagement, the timing, and what done means, in writing, before any activity starts.

You receive

A written scope and rules of engagement

02

Assess

Controlled testing, monitoring, or review against the agreed targets, scheduled so operations stay up.

You receive

A live channel for anything sensitive, as soon as it appears

03

Validate

Each finding is confirmed manually and rated by what it would mean for the business, not by scanner volume.

You receive

Ranked findings with evidence and reproduction steps

04

Remediate

Engineers and leadership are briefed separately, and a fix order is agreed that your team can carry.

You receive

Technical and leadership briefings, plus a remediation plan with owners

05

Retest

We confirm that the fixes that matter actually hold, and record what remains.

You receive

A retest result you can show a customer, auditor, or board

Principles

The rules we work by.

  • Scope in writing

Systems, rules of engagement, and what done means are agreed before testing or monitoring starts.

  • Evidence over volume

Findings name the system, the condition, and the business consequence. A long list with no order is not a result.

  • No surprise in production

Assessment and defensive work is scheduled so operations stay up. Sensitive findings get a live channel, not a surprise in the final PDF.

  • Handover, not a drop

Briefings, retests, and retained support are part of the engagement. The report is not the end of the conversation.

What you receive

Different readers, the same evidence.

Practitioners and decision-makers judge a security partner differently. Choose your view to see what each one receives.

Security teams

Detail your engineers can act on.

  • Manual testing, with tools used where they save time rather than where they add noise
  • Findings that name the system, the condition, and the reproduction steps
  • Detection content written for your estate, not a default rule pack
  • A written record of every investigated case
  • Retests that confirm the fix, not a fresh scan of everything

Leadership

Decisions, not a long list.

  • Findings ordered by what would actually hurt the business
  • A short briefing for leadership alongside the technical report
  • A risk register with owners and treatment decisions
  • A remediation plan with dates and names
  • Sensitive findings raised on a live channel, not saved for the final PDF

Audit & compliance

Evidence that matches the facts.

  • Rules of engagement and a scope an auditor can read
  • Gap assessments against the framework in scope
  • Policies and standards written so staff can follow them
  • Technical tests where they are the fastest way to prove a control is real
  • Evidence packs, and support while the review is underway

Working together

Start small. Keep the context.

  1. 01

    Start with one practice

Begin with the gap in front of you: a test, a control program, or coverage for the team. The first engagement stands on its own.

  2. 02

    Keep the same team

When the work grows, the same practice can stay for the program that follows, so context is not lost between engagements.

How each practice runs

Assessments & Offensive Security

  1. 01. Scope

Assets, exclusions, timing, and the person to call if something sensitive appears.

  2. 02. Test

Controlled activity against the agreed targets. No wandering into systems that were not named.

  3. 03. Report

Findings, evidence, and a fix order based on what would actually hurt the business.

  4. 04. Retest

Confirmation that the important fixes hold, not a fresh scan of everything.

Managed SOC & Defensive Operations

  1. 01. Sources

Agree the systems, the retention, and the hours of coverage before a single alert is promised.

  2. 02. Detections

Tune what you already have and add the cases that are missing.

  3. 03. Operate

Investigate, escalate, and record. You always know who has a case.

  4. 04. Improve

A monthly review, new detections, and a drill when you want one.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  1. 01. Obligation

Which framework, which customer, which deadline, and which systems are actually in scope.

  2. 02. Gap

What exists, what is paper only, and what is missing.

  3. 03. Build

Policies, risk decisions, and the controls that close the gaps that matter.

  4. 04. Show

Evidence packs, and someone in the room while the review is underway.

Training & Capability Building

  1. 01. Audience

Who needs to decide, who needs to operate, and who needs to notice something is wrong.

  2. 02. Design

Modules tied to your systems and recent findings, not a slide library with your logo pasted on.

  3. 03. Deliver

Live sessions. The materials stay with you.

  4. 04. Measure

A simple check of what changed, and a plan for the next quarter.

Testing standards

  • OWASP (Top 10, ASVS, MASVS, and API Top 10)
  • NIST SP 800-115
  • MITRE ATT&CK

A short brief is enough: the environment, the deadline, and whether you need a test, a control program, or coverage for the team.
